Dr. Wyrick has local Virginia roots and has also spent time in Pennsylvania.
She is a former long-distance runner (school years) and enjoys reading, playing piano, learning about other cultures, dabbling in very small-scale edible landscaping, assisting with an ultramarathon, and tent camping, when time permits.
She enjoyed her fifteen years of working with patients and staff at Rockingham Family Physicians but decided to establish her own direct primary care practice when the rest of her physician partners decided to sell the practice to Augusta Health. She has been eagerly planning this type of patient-oriented practice since she learned about it in 2018.
The model matches well with her practice style: She spends time with her patients, educating them, and encouraging healthier lifestyles but also addressing medical concerns with a thorough approach.
She hopes to form some new long-term doctor-patient relationships as well as continue many from her former practice.
